The show season started in May 2007 with the Suffolk Show at Ipswich, again the Welland Valley Herd had a very rewarding time with the following results.
Welland Valley Hanbury 1st. was Male Champion and went on to be chosen Breed Champion. He was also Reserve in the Best Native Breed. Welland Valley Dora 1st was Female Champion then Reserve Breed Champion, standing down to Welland Valley Hanbury 1st.
Rutland Show May 2007
Welland Valley Hanbury 1st was Male Champion and went on to be Breed Champion.
Welland Valley Crusader 1st was 1st in bull born before 2006, going on to be Res.Junior Champion.
Welland Valley Ethel 2nd was 1st in the cow & calf class.
Welland Valley Dora 1st was 2nd in Heifer born before 2005
East of England Show 2007
Welland Valley Hanbury 1st again had the honour of being Male and Breed Champion.
Welland Valley Crusader 1st was 1st in bull born after January 2006.
Welland Valley Ethel 2nd was 1st in the Cow & Calf class.
Welland Valley Dora 1st was 1st in Heifer born before January 2005, she was then placed Female Champion followed by Reserve breed Champion.
Welland Valley Corngirl 9th was 2nd in Heifer born after January 2006.
Royal Show
Welland Valley Hanbury 1st was Male and Breed Champion.
Welland Valley Crusader 1st was 1st bull born after 2006,
Res. junior champion.
Welland Valley Dora 1st was 2nd in Heifer born before January 2005.
With entries being very restricted at the Great Yorkshire Show we were very disappointed not to be able to go this year. Then with Foot & Mouth breaking out on the eve of Blakesley show the season came to an abrupt end.
